My best trip was from Bangalore to Kanyakumari. We started the road trip in the early morning. The smell of filter coffee was in the air as I said goodbye to the busy streets of Bangalore. As we left the city, the roads ahead of us promised stories of charming villages, green nature, and the Southern coast.
We moved to Salem and entered Tamil Nadu. It was a nice trip. We were pleasantly surprised to see that most of the roads in Tamil Nadu were well-kept, even in the villages. The villages and towns were tidy, and the restrooms near the bus stops were clean. Everywhere you could see large windmills. We spoke with locals during our journey and concluded that all this progress in the state happened under the leadership of the late J. Jayalalitha. The people were humble, honest, and helpful. The best part was that everywhere you could get delicious, clean, and fresh food.
The road trip ended with a stunning sunset at Kanyakumari. The sky turned into a colorful canvas, painting the horizon with shades of orange, pink, and purple. I felt blessed after visiting Devi Kumari who’s story is same as Vaishno Devi of Kashmir. and realized why India is unique and united. The differences we see are just on the surface, deep down our souls are one. I couldn’t help but reflect on the personal transformation this journey had brought about.
Finally, In the end, I can say, my road trip from Bangalore to Kanyakumari was not just a physical journey but a melodic exploration of self-discovery, cultural richness, and the natural beauty that Southern India orchestrates.
