During India’ freedom struggle , When leaders and the public were facing a common problem of communication with each other. A country which is very rich in languages and has more then 122 major language , it was very difficult to communicate with each other without a common language . Hence , a need of a common language, which is also an Indian language arised . After Independence , 14 September, Constituent Assembly of India decided that Hindi is our official language and will be our national language too . Hence on September 14 is celebrated as Hindi Divas .
Here, now in this month of September , still most of schools are closed and offices are also on online mode , it is not possible to celebrate Hindi Divas in conventional way . Here are some ideas to celebrate Hindi Divas in online mode.
Kavi sammelan:
A meeting can be arranged online where poets should be invited and it can be aired in different social platforms. In schools also , students should be encourage to write poems in Hindi in different topics. these online meetings will encourage people to think and use Hindi more and more .
Slogan writing competitions :
Children should be asked to write their own slogans to promote Hindi . Slogan writing , is the new content added in CBSE syllabus for 9th grade. slogan writing competition will give students an idea about how to write a good slogan.
Chart/ Advertisement making competition:
Advertisements are part of CBSE Board’s syllabus . Also it is a good method of spreading awareness about something . students as well as public should be invited for making advertisement in Hindi on different topics . the best Advertisement should be awarded by the institutions / Organizers.
Hand Writing Challenges :
Now a days , people write less and less . All the work is going on computers . Hand writing skills are being neglected . Even students are not keen enough to improve their Hand writings. Therefore bringing them back to the track , handwriting challenges or Hindi cursive writing challenges are definitely good idea.
Debates :
Debates are good method to find out a right answer and to spread awareness on certain topics . There are many topics in society that needs to be highlighted . Inviting people to talk and give their views on these topics in their native language is really a good initiative . Organizations should come forward and arrange these debates and try to aware people on certain topics on this Hindi Divas . Schools can also take it as Hindi Divas activity.
Hindi Riddles
Asking Hindi Riddles will not only encourage children to learn Hindi in an interesting way , it will also give a challenge to young minds to learn more and more new Hindi words .
Doha Reciting Competition“
Hindi is very rich language . It has different types of poetry writings. Doha is one of them. These two lines poems are great sources of knowledge . these Dohas can be explained in different ways and sometimes enlighten the reader. these dohas are easy to recite . One can easily memorize a number of doha one by one in a short span. Asking children to recite Doha as many as they can and the child who says maximum number of doha will be announced winner .
Doha :
गुरु गोविंद दोउ खड़े, काके लागूं पांय
बलिहारी गुरु आपनो, गोविंद दियो बताय।
Guru Gobind dou khade , kaake laagu paay |
balihari guru aapane , gobindu diyo bataay ..
Number Challenge:
Small kids can be engaged with this number challenge, there should be teams of participants . Teacher will ask an English number and the students have to translate that number in Hindi. and vice versa. This will be definitely a fun activity for kids . Also this activity will give them a chance to learn Hindi numbers .
